Many of my friends and students are overwhelmed by the enormity of the climate crisis issue. So I am especially appreciate of this recent article in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. They argue that the most important thing we can do is share what we know with others, especially our family members and friends that are climate change deniers.
The science is VERY clear about the human causes of climate change–as one article noted, “We are as certain that humans are responsible for recent climate change as we are that cigarettes are dangerous to your health.”
If you need a visual, the graphic below illustrates the literature reviews of climate studies underscoring the near consensus among published peer-reviewed climate scientists.

Please believe me; I am one of those peer-reviewed scientists. We are responsible for the changing climate and we only have a few years to correct the course.
